Hello Duduk-lovers,

I have a question: are there also Ramishes out of synthetic material available?
It would be great. It may sound a bit less good than Cane but it would be a great thing for long practises
without preparing the reed with water and so first (and holds for 20 min only).
If this not exist, somebody should develop it. cool.gif

Regards,
WJ

Welcome to duduk forum

we did work on synthetic reed smile.gif but could never get it to sound good, not even ok sound

it was meant for practicing

if you practicing on your fingering you can just as easy use an SHVI in key of a w/ F# it will be same as A duduk - you can work on your fingering technique, but if your trying to master duduk and your playing the one and only way is to use a traditional reed, as you play the reed it will start "obeying"
you the sound will be nicer...

one day wan we have more free time i might start / continue working on synthetic reed smile.gif

Good Luck

Moses
