Hello there,
I have a duduk from duduk.com which I think is a great instrument. The thing is, it doesn't produce that 'etherial', other-world sound. I was just wondering, what contributes the most in getting that sound: - reed - body of the instrument - embouchure I noticed that I can get a closer sound with my medium reed. I suspect the hard reed is the one mostly responsible for getting the best sound. Other than that, would it make any difference if I would buy an OMO duduk after I learn to play well enough? Thanks |

I guess my actual question is: what really makes a difference in sound?
