Dear all.

It is a good way to practise with a piano.
If you doŽnt have a piano, then there is help following this link, which can provide you with a piano on your computer: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Others/Fun/KB-Piano.shtml ,there is a free trial for 30 days. The best thing is, that the program lets you record, what you a playing on the piano fx. the scale of your duduk, and then you can play along with the piano recording, practising your pitch. You can also use the piano to play along with other duduk players, who make movies on You Tube, and you will then discover, how many duduk players who doŽnt play in tune, however it sounds so, when only listening.
It is a difficult issue, how to be in tune when playing duduk. The scale is diatonic, and the duduk is not an tempered instrument, and should be played together with other instruments, which can match the untempered sound, such as violins, or any other unfretted stringinstruments, or at it is best, with other duduks. Because the untempered pitch or sound is what make the duduk sound different from a clarinet, obo, etc. and the sound especialy from the duduks made in Armenia,or by apricot wood, is so unique, so to try to bend it, to satisfy the need for absolutely digital pitch, will in the end, remove the beautiful individual sound from each duduk.
