I recently bought a used clarinet and although it is a lot of fun to play I can't help but wonder . . . how would a duduk reed sound playing through it? So, I asked a woodworker friend of mine to make me a custom barrel joint so a standard duduk reed can fit snugly but I don't know what key/pitch reed would work best for the clarinets much larger range. Any suggestions?
for reference, the clarinet's lowest note is the D below middle C and its highest is the third Eb above middle C . . . if I'm reading this fingering chart correctly. Thanks for any advice, and wish me luck! Ron -------------------- |
