Hello,

I'm trying to verify the tuning of my OMO duduk. I was under the impression that it was in the key of D, and I recently purchased a new soft D reed for it. But, the reed barely fits into the top of the Duduk. With all 8 top holes covered, it plays an A. Here are the dimensions: (1) approx. 3 cm to middle of Hole #1 (top); (2) approx. 16-16 1/4 cm to hole #6.

Am I correct in believing that this is a D duduk?

The reed needs to go in to your duduk more, some of the older original OMO duduks have a smaller reed receiver..
