For anyone who is interested I am a Duduk player (& can also teach beginners) based in Byron Bay area of NSW Australia.
I spent 12 months in Armenia studying with both Gevorg Dabaghian (Head of the Conservatory) & Georgy Minasiyan (Head teacher at he prestigious Romanos Malikiyan School for Traditional Music). During that time I focused on a folk repertoire but also learned some Mugham and Sacred Armenian music. I also spent 3 years in Istanbul and can play Turkish folk music on Mey. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding Duduk. Michael Graf radharc@hotmail.com |
