moses, this is doug from rhode island. i just got a c reed from you that was a medium. i couldn't get a sound out of it so i tried to manipulate it the way i saw you in the strore. i guess i did it too hard because there is a split on either side going along the tape. did i ruin it?

remember wan i was doing it - i told you don't; do this at home sad.gif

if you have a split that's the end of the reed's life - unless you can add "tape"

even if the reed is open - you need to get enough moisture in it to make it playable, it makes it more flexible / playable
