On Peter Gabriel's track "The Feeling Begins," (Passion) he uses the song "The Wind Subsides." Vatche Hovsepian also plays the song on the CD: Armenie: Musique de Tradition Populaire et Des Achough (Radio France, Ocora)1996.

My question is: is this a traditional Armenian folksong? What is the original Armenian title? Where might I find lyrics/sheetmusic for this song?

P.S. I am a musicologist researching how the meanings of non-Western musics are altered when they are borrowed for American Movies/Television.

i don't know of any lyrics for the song, but thats me smile.gif i'm more in to duduk
